The Adventures of Errol and Jacintha is a colorful animated 6-part series of life growing up on St. Eustatius or Statia (Short for St. Eustatius).The six jewels forming the then Netherlands Antilles are Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, (ABC islands), St. Maarten, St. Eustatius, Saba (SSS islands) !
In 2010 on October 10th, The Netherlands Antilles was dissolved, and Statia along with Bonaire and Saba, became special municipalities of The Netherlands (BES islands).
These books while painting the stories with much humor and candor, give insight into the culture of the time (1970's and 1980's) and of the Dutch islands. Each island is unique, yet similar in many ways. The reader will get a better understanding of the people, their way of life, their faith, their food, their upbringing, as seen through the lens of 8- and 9-year-old Errol and Jacintha.
